Shareshnee Govender is a Clinical Associate and graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, bringing 12 years of clinical experience, including 5 years dedicated to the field of nephrology. As one of the early Clinical Associates in South Africa to pursue specialisation in nephrology, she has established a defined professional focus through the integration of point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) into routine renal practice. Her commitment to advancing POCUS reflects both her clinical expertise and her dedication to enhancing diagnostic precision and procedural guidance in kidney care.
Shareshnee currently serves within a distinguished Nephrology Group Practice alongside leading nephrologists , including Dr Vakhtang Rekhviashvili, Dr Shoyab Wadee, Dr Zakaria Gangat, and Dr Anneen Basson. In this capacity, she continues to support the development and promotion of bedside ultrasound as an essential component of high-quality, patient-centred nephrology care.
