| Oral Presentation Guidelines |

These guidelines have been prepared to assist you with planning your presentation for the ISPD & SA Renal Congress 2026.

The Congress Programmes are available at Programme, the programme is still subject to minor changes.  Presentation times (as they appear on the programme) will be strictly adhered to by the session chairpersons to ensure sessions run timeously.  The final programme will also be available on the Congress App.

Presentation Format

  • Presentations should be prepared in Microsoft PowerPoint versions 2017 onwards.
  • They must be in widescreen format (16:9) for optimal viewing.
  • An optional slide template is available however you may utilise your own slide template.
    Download Template
  • Presenters are able to include audio and video in their presentations. These should be embedded and not links.  It is strongly recommended that presentations with embedded audio and videos be checked with a technician at the speaker preparation room at the Congress.
  • Please ensure that any presentations created on a Mac are checked on a Windows computer before the event to confirm that all images, fonts, formatting, videos and other visual elements display correctly and retain their intended quality.  This can be done in the speaker preparation room; allow enough time prior to your presentation should corrections need to be made.

Speaker Preparation Room

  • A speaker preparation room will be available at the Congress from 30 September – 3 October.
  • The speaker preparation room will be located at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC 1) in Meeting Room 1.51.
  • Experienced technicians are available in the speaker preparation room to assist presenters with uploading and checking their presentations.
  • Presentations must be uploaded onto the server in the speaker preparation room, and this must be done no less than 2 hours prior to your presentation time.
  • Once presentations are uploaded onto the server you will still be able to make updates and changes if required.
  • Presenters will have the option to upload your presentation/s in advance and details will follow below, you are still encouraged to visit the speaker preparation room to check that your presentation was received in good order and is working correctly.
  • Once presentations are uploaded onto the server they are “pushed” through to the correct meeting rooms at the time of the session.
  • Presentations are run from the technical desk in the meeting room however speakers will have a clicker to run through their presentations themselves.
