Dr Freercks is a nephrologist based in Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth), South Africa.  He has more than 15 years of experience in peritoneal dialysis, including the initiation of nephrologist-based bedside Tenckhoff catheter insertions at his institution.  He currently serves on the International Society of Nephrology Interventional Nephrology Working Group, where has focussed on improving PD access in South Africa and further afield.
