Dr. Rebecca Herzog is a translational researcher aiming to link omics-driven basic science and patient centred-clinical research in peritoneal dialysis. She received her PhD at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria in 2017. As PostDoc research fellow of the Paediatric Nephrology Laboratory she investigated molecular interventions to modulate cytoprotective mechanism in the dialyzed peritoneal cavity. She received several national and international awards including the Stanley Sheldon Young Investigator of the Year Award of the ERA in 2019. Dr. was a principal investigator in “IMPROVE-PD”, an EU-Horizon2020 MSCA-ITN project.
